Yoga 60 w/ Rick Wednesday July, 26 2017

I did Laura’s class today. A colleague from work named Rick wanted to join me for Power Yoga. I thought this was great because I think he will definitely see results. Currently he is very stiff from work. That was how I felt when I first found yoga. I was tired of feeling sore particularly in the neck region and upper back. However, for Rick it was his lower back and left hamstring. So I told him that Power Yoga really helps with professional “sitters” like us; and it may help loosen up those sore and stiff muscles. So, he join me for Laura’s Power Yoga Class!

Laura’s class was a difficult class because she did multiple advanced poses and it was difficult for Rick to follow along. I tried my best to show him modifications and ways to enhance the pose for his particular injury. Laura also helped him out with many poses as well.

Some of the difficult poses included Crow Pose and Side Crow. I had a lot of trouble getting into these poses for the first year I join Power Yoga. The Side crow I still have trouble with. And poor Rick attempting these poses! I respect his willingness to try and learn.
