Neil and Bleasdell Boulder So, this is Bleasdell Boulder which is located off Highway 33 in the City of Quinte West and it is only about 5 minutes North so the next time your on the 401 and passing through City of Quinte West you should get off at highway 33 and pop into the park and check it out. The rock is approximately 2.3 billion years old. If you go to the park you can read all about the chemistry of what makes up this beautiful stone.

Book review Is That a Fact? Dr. Joe Schwarcz

I have been reading Is That a Fact? by Dr. Joe Schwarcz which is a book about exposing the truth of frauds, quacks, and fear mongering with diet health claims, supplements claims and environmental issues which have no or scant scientific basis. The book also has a section that discusses the misunderstanding of GMO foods particularly foods that are not genetically modified; however, the media and activists assert certain foods are GMOs when in fact they are not.
