I want to share my small bash script that compresses my website blog source files and automatically renames the file to my desire time date format. The script will generate a tarball which will allow me to drop the file quickly in my Google Drive back up folder. This saves me time in manually zipping and renaming the file to the appropriate date.
Note, you can easily modify the script to use a zip program rather than tar.
Rock Climbing My colleague and I went to Rock Climbing at Hub Climbing in Mississauga. The overall experience was excellent. The staff were knowledgable and helpful with the autobelay orientation.
I did not know of autobelay machines before, and I always thought that you had to have a spotter while climbing. But with the autobelay machines, it makes rock climbing so much easier and faster; all that you have to do is clip onto the machine and climb.
Good News Last weekend I completed a workshop with @suppleyogi, Dave Lambert, entitled integrity in motion. Dave drew from Kelly Starrett’s How to be a Supple Leopard book. I never thought much about the connection between that book and yoga. However, Kelly’s core principles can be used in yoga to prevent injuries and increase flexibility.
My biggest take away from the workshop was the elimination of a contradictory notion. My notion of “squeezing” and “torquing” the muscle would decrease flexibility, but it is the reverse.
My Fruit cleanse experience I started the fruit cleanse late this year, on Tuesday, October 9, 2018. The 3-day fruit cleanse was immediately after Thanksgiving, and this allowed me to get a “head start” because I was able to go start the fruit cleanse with a full belly of two Thanksgiving dinners: once on Sunday and again on Monday.
For the most part, the fruit cleanse went fairly well. I felt great the first two days at work despite the usual challenges and unpleasantries.
Today’s class was with Susan; and it was packed full of people. I think they ran out of space. Luckily I squeezed in quickly.
One thing Susan had on focus on was our breath (Ujjayi breathing). I felt quite connected with my breath this class. Particularly when she had us do Sun B’s based on each others breath as cues rather than the instructor cue the poses. This is can be challenging for me because I feel like my breath is faster or slower depending on the day.
